Jonathan and I are so excited that we got to hear our precious baby's heartbeat for the first time today!! I can't believe how fast it is - 160 BPM's...crazy! Lot's of people have told us how fast their heartbeats are, but it's still so surprising when you hear your own baby's heart beating super fast. I am almost 14 weeks, so I know it's a little late to hear it for the first time, but our last appt. was at 9 weeks and they said that was too early to hear it then. Lovely Kaiser wanted us to wait until I was 16 weeks to hear it, and we said NO WAY. I guess being an annoying stalker about getting in for another appt. really does pay off in the end. Yea for us:)
I am starting a poll to see if our family and friends think we are having a girl (my preference) or a boy (Jonathan's preference). So vote on the poll to the right and let us know what you think:)
P.S. In reality, we both will be SO happy no matter what the sex is!!

I'm guessing a girl! Girls have faster hearbeats than boys, supposedly, and yours was pretty high. It's an old wives tale but it proved true for me. So excited for you! :)

I am voting for a girl, or a boy. It really doesn't matter I am buying baby clothes for BOTH! I just can't wait to meet my new grandbaby.

Just so you know, one of those four votes (as of now there are only four) for the handsome boy was mine. No offense Jillian, but I have a lot of friends who have been having girls and I think it is about time for my friends to have some boys.

They say if the heartbeat is fast and 160 bpm is, that it's a girl...don't get your hopes up though!
