a tiny birthday party.

Claire's tiny first birthday party was a success, and a lot of fun! I was happy with how everything turned out, and that we were able to celebrate my tiny little girl's big day.

For the menu, we had all things tiny.

tiny hot dogs & hamburgers (I got the burgers & buns at Trader Joes)

tiny fruit cabobs that were super yummy (we also had tiny beans & tiny macaroni salad that aren't pictured)

tiny drinks. I had the water bottle labels made on etsy & I love how they turned out. 

tiny cupcakes & a special tiny cake made for the birthday girl by my good friend Allison (she's amazing). Thanks again Allison! 

tiny treats

tiny tootsie pops, tiny goldfish, tiny candies. I love the tiny scoopers that I found at sur la table, they fit in perfectly. 

tiny doughnuts & tiny brownies

I made a banner out of photos I have taken of Claire, one for each month of her first year. I love it. I am so happy to have so many photos of my baby girl.

Oh, and of course, my tiny birthday girl. She really enjoyed the cake as you can tell.

Little Miss,

One year ago today, our lives changed forever. You came into this world & joined our little family, making it feel more complete. We will never forget the moment we saw you for the first time, it was a spiritual experience like no other we have ever had. You are the light of our lives & have changed us in so many ways. We now more fully understand the love that Heavenly Father has for us, because he has let us have you. You are such an amazing little girl & we love you more than words can express. Happy Birthday Claire!

thank you for all you do for me & our family. i love you so much & feel so lucky to have you in my life. you work so hard at all you do & i am so proud of you. i know that things aren't always perfect & that we have our ups & downs, but we always seem to get through it because we have each other. there is no one else i would rather share my life with. you are a wonderful husband, father, person & friend. i love you babe.

happy birthday...

we can't believe you are already a month old little miss. you have changed so much already. it seems like just yesterday that we were going to the doctor's office, hoping that we wouldn't come home without you in our arms. and we didn't. you have brought us so much happiness & have helped us to love in a way we didn't know possible. sometimes when you fall asleep, we snuggle up close & just stare at you. those chubby cheeks, cute lips & big blue eyes. you are perfect. we are trying to not take one minute of this time with you for granted. when i hold you sometimes i cry a little because i know there will come a time when i can't hold you in my arms & rock you to sleep anymore. i will definitely miss that. happy one month birthday. we love you baby girl.
