we are still waiting for baby claire to arrive. i technically still have another week or so, but i guess i was just expecting her to be here by now. goes to show that babies just come when they feel like it, not when we want them to! the doctor did say yesterday that she is probably going to be around 9 lbs - that was comforting (hope you can sense the sarcasm). then she really went on to say that if i don't cut back on the carbs, she could be closer to 10lbs!! who says that to a 10 month pregnant person- cut back on the carbs....um not happening. i am feeding myself and a LARGE baby!! if i don't eat carbs i will be starving! i am just ignoring her comment (while at the same time hoping she isn't right).
gus is patiently waiting for baby sister too. this picture is one that we could take pretty much every day. he loves to just relax and sleep in her room. i wonder if he will still want to do that when she is crying at night?!? doubt it.

hang in there girly... babies really just do come when they are ready. And don't stress about what the doctor said. She will be a perfect size. Good luck with everything! Cannot WAIT to see pictures of her!!!
Hang in there! You look absolutely fabulous pregnant! All of my boys have been big babies and my baby Carson was the biggest being 9.6 and 1 &1/2 early. I think that chubby babies are so cute and I can't wait to see Claire.
Jillian, I was told that both my babies were going to be HUGE. Sailor was 7.4 and Hobie was 6.7. Eat as many carbs as you want!!
Doctors don't know what they're talking about....carbs make the world go round, and one week isn't going to change things! :) I hope to hear that you have given birth SOON! I'm so excited to meet Claire....all 10 pounds of her! :) Just more to love, right?
Oh Jillian forget about that comment. My NP told me that I was "really chubbing up" and when pregnant with Abby I had a doctor tell me I needed "to slow it down on the weight gain"...in both cases I just had to laugh it off (easier said than done) because I knew my weight was fine. I say enjoy those carbs while you're still eating for 2!
I always had them on my back when I was pregnant too...FINALLY on baby four they left me alone. I guess when you gain 50 - 70 lbs each time they get all freaky.
I think you need not only carbs, sweet carbs!
On a happier note, it was my experience that bigger babies were more content and better sleepers!
I was almost 10 lbs and my mom said I was a calm quiet baby...maybe because I was surrounded by fat! Congrats and can't wait to see her!
When I saw you today and thought you still looked small - like you had a month left at least. SO, don't worry too much. You are almost there!
