i found this amazing website called spoonflower.you can make & print your own fabric. i got the idea to write claire a letter & have it printed so that we can make a quilt out of it. we LOVE how it turned out & can't wait to finish the quilt. hopefully it is something that she will keep forever & possibly pass on to her children.
this is what our fabric looks like. her letter is printed on a yard of fabric, so now i just need to pick out what fabric i want for the backing, decide if i want a border & get started. i will post a photo when it is all finished. happy sewing!

Your projects look amazing - I LOVE your idea about the letter to Claire. I'm stealing the idea for Will's quilt that I've been making for a while (with your permission of course). It was great seeing you yesterday - thanks for coming over & offering your advise.

Your projects are darling! It is so difficult to patiently wait for the sweet little baby to finally decide to join your family. It would be so much easier if you knew the exact day that Claire was coming home. Hang in there!

So I literally sat around completely prepared for about 2 months before all of my other kids, waiting, waiting, expecting an early arrival. No such luck. I am pretty much in denial that I'm about to have a baby this time as a result. I just can't take the suspense of waiting, so I'm seriously not prepared this time around. I keep thinking "nesting will set in any day now"....well it hasn't yet. I seriously need to get things going!
Anyway, we are down to the wire now...exciting times!!!
I LOVE the quilt idea....where do you find all these websites? I can't wait to see the final project!
