then Thanksgiving night came....
I went into preterm labor (I was only 20 weeks), which caused me & Jonathan to make a lovely trip to the ER on Thanksgiving night - not exactly how we had hoped to spend our holiday! We were able to come home that night, only to have to go back the following night...not fun. I was sent home again with some medication and was ordered to bed rest. They told us that we couldn't fly home on our scheduled flight, and that they weren't even sure when or if I would be able to fly home...yikes! So back we went to the house, and enjoyed a few more days with family. After another doctors visit without the okay to fly, we finally got the go ahead to fly several days later. So what initally was a 5 day trip, turned into a two week trip! Thanks so much to Jonathan's parents Kathy & Hal for taking care of us and for making us feel so comfortable during our long stay!
I am happy to report that Oliver & I are doing fine. I am on medication to stop my contractions & am ordered to bed rest for the remainder of my pregnancy...18 more weeks...but who's counting?! I am hoping to read lots of books, learn to knit, catch up on movies, and pretty much anything else to pass the time!! If you have any suggestions on things I can do, please leave them in a comment for me:)
Thank you for all of your prayers, & to all of our family & friends who have brought us meals and helped with Claire! We appreciate it more than you know:)
Now that the whole story is out of the way, here are some photos of Claire playing in leaves & at the local public Farm in Fairfax. She loved the animals & was so excited to see all of them. She even let them lick her hands....silly girl!

I am so sorry to hear that you are experiencing pre-term labor! I had that with my first two boys and those potent medications needed to stop contractions are no fun. I will keep you in my prayers. I love those pictures of Claire... see looks absolutely ADORABLE!
Such cute pics!
I like the look on her face in the last one, she looks a little unsure about that cow:)
15 weeks will be a breeze. Haha, you know I kid!! But we are here to help night & day!!!
Happy to help with whatever!!! Love the pics! She's as cute as ever!
Glad you got a few pictures before you were stuck on the couch! How is bed rest going? Text me if you want some good book suggestions!
We loved having you all for the entire 2 week stay and we miss Claire terribly. The house is so quiet. I do want to point out that the pile of leaves were not from our own yard, ours were all raked up (thank you Jonathan). He even got on the roof to blow off all the leaves that had fallen.
